Code of Conduct

Purpose of this document:
This document outlines the guidelines for the safe running of the Mountaineering Club.

These guidelines are only advisory and may be adapted due to the conditions and experience of a group or individual taking part in a club event.

Definitions:
The "Club" refers to De Montfort University Mountaineering Club.
The "members" refers to paid up members of the Club and anyone taking part in a Club activity.
The "Union" refers to De Montfort University Student Union.

Statement:
"The BMC recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement."
